Gac - The Fruit of Heaven


Quả GấcAlthough many people have never heard of the gac fruit, it is in Southeast Asia, especially in Vietnam, very well known. The Gac fruit grows on vines and reached about the size of a melon, and is used both as food and medicine from northeast Australia to Vietnam to China. In Vietnam, it is the preparation of "Xoi gac" for everyday use or special ceremonies use.

Only recently, the Gac fruit is known in Western countries and delights increasing importance as part of healthy eating.

It is sometimes referred to as baby jackfruit or pumpkin Cochinchin. The Gac fruit is traditionally used as food and medicine, in the regions where it grows. In the Western world, the importance of gac fruit, for people who want to eat healthily, steadily.
